Not always in that order, though.
We had a pretty day today. It was overcast and looked like it was going to rain all day; so far, nothing. But the breeze and cooler temperature reminds me of Fall. I guess it is inching closer and closer even though a few weeks ago…the day time highs were hitting 3 digits, I still wasn’t ready for Fall—I think I’m getting there now!
I found this card the other day—I got it in the mail a couple of years ago from Candy @ Lazy J Bar C Farm
It’s just so cute… ! I wanted to share it.
Yesterday, evening we drove to the other side of the county to see our oldest grand daughter play her first Middle School Volley Ball game, she made the A team and is the Team Captain!
For that reason, I didn’t work on any projects. I just focused on laundry. Earlier in the day and I got all the laundry washed and on the line—and then off the line before 4 pm. I’ve been doing it later in the week—I used to do it on Mondays…my cleaning schedule is all switched up right now.
Why? Because I have more energy now. I honestly think having been ill for so long and not realizing it—my house work stopped almost and inside the house, just went down hill. I walk through my house and am shocked at how I’ve let things get piled up.
I am just taking a room at a time and going through and cleaning, cleaning, cleaning! Trying to put it all right! I have only been hitting the high spots in the main living areas, dishes, vacuuming, sweeping, etc—and working on organizing in other rooms a little every day. I just pick a flat surface and work on it when time allows.
Getting my craft cabinet done and putting yarn on it the other day – put some wind in my sails for sure!
Seeing all the yarn that I had available didn’t take long before it came in handy. I talked with a good friend of mine that is working on Shoe Boxes to be sent over seas for needy children in other countries. She asked if I’d like to make some wash cloths or hats or something for the boxes.
So, that’s what I’m making-- cloths…I’ve been crocheting those in my spare time this week.
Lastly, and I don’t mean to be harping on my health. But it’s a big deal to me, really. I just feel so much better these days. Last Friday, I bought a copy of Divergent
at a moving sale down our road. I started reading it on Sunday and finished it up last night after the volley ball game.
This isn’t a book review—though I will say that I enjoyed it. I did NOT see the movie—but I do enjoy a good-political science fiction book! This book wasn’t hard to read—which was good; because my concentration hasn’t been what it used to be—I only read it in my spare time and after the kids were gone in the evenings.
I haven’t read a book in so long, you just don’t know how good it felt to hold a book in my hand and be able to concentrate on what I was reading, though I did have to wear readers. Like most of you I have so many other ways to read and I can manipulate the text to be whatever size I want for reading comfort— I didn’t realize I wasn’t reading because of my eyes. Having only recently been diagnosed with T2 Diabetes—I realize now, how important my eyes are and after my 3 month check up next week with my doctor, I’ll be making an appt to see an eye doctor.
I also wanted to say thank you,to all of you, from my last post, for congratulating me on weight-loss. Y'all are always such an encouragement to me and I appreciated it SO MUCH! :)
Til next time, Be Blessed!

I am so glad you are feeling better. I know a bit about being ill and not realizing it. Mine was thankfully only B12 deficiency, but I did not realize why I was so chronically tried. We are often our worst enemies. I want to read Divergent also. Love to read the books, don't really care for most movies. Take care of yourself. Your are important to so many. Thank you.
hi Pat ... so glad that you are feeling better and enjoying doing things that you love to do. I love crocheted clothes and am sure they will be well received. Such a nice thing for you to do.
Take care and congratulation on loosing weight and getting health issues in check.
Hugs,

I am glad you are feeling so much better, Pat! I am definitely in a fall frame of mind, too...we may have frost tonight...and we picked most of our apples today.
I'm glad you're feeling better altho I don't really know what's all been going on since I'm new to your blog. But happy you are on the mend.
Thanks for some good ideas on tackling house areas and cleaning up. I've not been feeling well the past month and house work has been the last thing I'm interested in. My house needs a good cleaning.
Great job on the weight loss - go check out my son Tony's blog some time - you will be inspired.

Pat, I am so so so happy that you are feeling better. When you are ill for a long time it is amazing how things do pile up----and we don't even realize it until we are better and our energy is restored.
Congrats on your weight loss. Good for you. That is never an easy thing to do-especially if you are home where a treat is only an arm reach away.
Loving your dish cloths. I have a friend that makes them, too.
Our oldest granddaughter is also the star of her volleyball team. It is so much fun to watch her play. She plays really well but it is not her "passion"---you know what I mean? It is just a game she is good at. Her younger sister who plays well but is not great LOVES it passionately. Funny how those things happen. xo Diana
Good Morning...... isn't this weather nice? So glad you are feeling better. It is so difficult to do even the small things in life, when our bodies are not cooperating. I view even the slightest weight loss as a major event...something I always struggle with. Congrats to you!!! Hope your weekend is a great one!
Be blessed, you say! Well, just knowing you and following along with your saga is a blessing.
You know that I identify with all of this! It's been a year since my T2 diagnosis and my energy level and thought processes are like night and day! I was in such a fog that I just felt guilty for not doing what I needed to be doing, not realizing it was a health issue!!! So I'll be praying for you and I'm glad to hear you are feeling better. :)
Hi Pat. Glad that you are feeling better. Looks like a fun week. We've got a few things in common this week... I also finally fell knee deep into a few great books. I started with "If I Stay" and finished it in a few hours... which meant that I had to run out to barnes and noble and get book 2.. which also was good. My youngest daughter recently joined the JV volleyball team. OMGosh... neither of my girls ever played sports and I am having so much fun watching the games.
I'm not ready for fall either... but as you'll see.. I am starting my Halloween planning. I needed a push.. just not in the mood for it. I want summer to STAY!!! : )
Have a great weekend.
That's very pretty yarn you're using. Nice to share your work like that too. Glad you've been feeling better. There's nothing worse than poor health. It effects everything.
Glad your health is improving. My eye doctor is the one who caught my T2 diabetes. I am now on a grain-free diet and weight loss program to control my blood sugars. Love the idea of sending the cloths in the shoe boxes. I just began knitting and my pet project has been making washcloths. I will have a stack to donate.
How sweet of you to crochet for the kids. I am so glad you are feeling so much better, I can see it has put a bounce in your step. I am so jealous that you have a place to line dry clothes....Oh I can smell them now!
