:: Just for Fun!

Do you know what this is?  Can you guess?
plastic scoop -turned stencil

It’s a scoop. From baby formula. Yep. Never have seen that before last Thursday.  You have to pop it apart, like airplane model pieces.  Then it’s just the waste, up there on the left.  Honey scooped it up to toss it and I said, “Hey! I was thinking of making something with that!”
“Really?”  @@  His eyes just glazed over.  I know at that point he was thinking, probably something similar to what you might be thinking.
Really?  You’re nuts!”
Anyway—my grandaughter was sitting there and her eyes lit up…  she says, “What Oma?”
“What are WE going to make with that?”
Well, it’s pretty cut and dried at that point.  You have to make something. You don’t want to disappoint the child. She already thinks you can do ANYTHING!  She’s five… easily entertained and easily persuaded. :)

Oh!  and of course… she got to take the pictures!  She loves using Oma’s camera.  She’s artistic on so many levels!
I drew large sunflowers with the trash stencil.  She drew little daisies. I drew one butterfly. She drew TWO.  She said she “wanted her picture to be different.”
I LOVE IT!
Do you ever just do that?  Get creative on a whim?  I do.  The urge to create something just hits me all of the sudden.  Lately, it happens more often.  Like this little camper icon on the sidebar up top.

I was linking up my other blog  Corn in My Coffee-can—and I needed some clip art.  Free and fast.  Well, naturally—I didn’t want to take the time to register anything or complete forms or get feed back for permissions… so I grabbed my pencil and an envelope and Vio’la!

Instant ICON!  Not to shabby besides… it was Just FUN!

I took some pictures of a random camper heading down the highway not too long ago... It's a cutie. I shared them and my thoughts here.

Til next time, Be Blessed!

So cute Pat ... and your granddaughter made a pretty picture too. Amazing what you can use for a template or tool to entertain kids. So happy you are getting to work on the camper. Hope your Honey keeps feeling better each day.

That's called repurposing, Pat! I love that you saw a butterfly stencil in this piece of plastic.
Your g'daughter must think her Oma is great.
