::Technical Saga~ Probably,part 3 ::

If you've been following my Technical Saga...this is probably part 3...further than You and I ever intended this story to go.

But for the sake of brevity...here goes.
This is the back of a digital picture frame. I've used it in the past to retrieve photos from my camera.
It takes a POWER cord and a USB cord.
A particular USB cord...not just any cord.

I think (but am not certain) this little barrel shaped HOOTIS...

has something to do with how it works...like video vs. audio or something technical that I am in no way knowledgeable enough to explain.

My son called me this morning on his way to work; here is the conversation.

SON: G'morning Mom.
MOM: G'morning. Going to work?
SON: Yes.  Called to tell you- go out to the mail box, right now, before the mail runs. Gotta Go... luv ya. Bye.
MOM:  Ok... Me 2 You. Bye.

:)

Now-- don't get me wrong this is exciting. Almost as exciting as Wi-Fi and Bigger,Stronger, Faster BIONIC computer...

But...there's more.  I'll be back with a surprise soon...I've been gifted something I thought I'd never want. I haven't even gotten to tell you about!
It's almost like Christmas around here.

Trust in the LORD with you heart; and lean not on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight.
~ Proverbs 3: 5-6

Glad you are able to get your computer stuff dialed in. I need a new one but alas no money for that.

What a saga! Crazy what we have to go through for technology sometimes.

That little barrel shaped hootis is a ferrite bead. It is used to filter noise from the signals in the cord. Love ya.

Oh, can't wait to see what this is.... I would have called that barrel thing a "barrel thing" and I had no idea what it did. See, once again I learn something by stopping by here. This was less stressful than learning about chicken plucking and rat traps.... Ann

You have left us all hanging....!!!!

I hate having to deal with all this techy stuff, my job that ended in June had tier 1 troubleshooting this kind of stuff...I hated it!!! We had a step by step process, and the customer had no clue I didn't know what I was talking about, then I would send yo next level support!
