I found some cute key chains on sale a week or so ago… it was in the college campus book store. I didn’t purchase one, they were kind of pricey for my taste…seeing how I had license plates at home in the barn. Plus… there was no ‘P’
Honey whipped this one together for me in no time at all. I don’t really need anything that big for my keys, but I thought about hanging it from my book bag I made for school in the fall.
Before the new year, I committed to getting on track with my eating…especially with the holiday binge eating. I am still, not taking the meds for T2 diabetes, and still keeping the blood sugar in check with eating, exercise and a fair share of sleep. (though last night… I tossed and turned for some reason)
On Monday, I used my yogurt maker and a brand name Greek Yogurt and made 7 small jars of plain yogurt. I also made some granola… I always use this Homemade Vanilla Almond Granola recipe from Sunny Simple Life. I do change it up from time to time, depending on whats in the cupboard. Mine tends to turn out a little bit darker than hers… I really think it is the MAKE YOUR OWN Brown sugar that I keep on hand (made with sugar and black strap molasses) But it sure is Yummy!
… Actually, I think I committed to getting more exercise, because my eating is fairly under control. But getting up and deliberately exercising… that’s what I needed to do. I’m still working at it… the deliberate part.
Right before Christmas, my daughter found a Nordic Trak eliptical machine for an EXCEPTIONALLY LOW PRICE at the thrift store… we are currently storing it for her. (in my mud room, which is presently considered a DISASTER AREA) DON’T ASK TO SEE THAT ROOM IF YOU’RE PLANNING ON VISITING. It’s off limits to all tourists, visitors and family. Unless you’d like to do my laundry.
I’m doing that today (and yesterday) the sun is out, and the temperature has been a balmy 57° or so… and I’m getting to hang it outside. While all that is happening… I take advantage of already being in that room… so I get on there from time to time… and may or may not pretend I’m hiking though the snow!
I’m working on a gift for my soon expected grand-daughter. I can’t show it…but will after it’s been gifted. I think, my daughter in law might read here from time to time…don’t want to spoil any surprises.
‘Til next time,
Patricia

good for you doing so well with your healthy eating and exercise. I have good intentions when it comes to stuff like that but that's as far as it goes
OMG the license plate "P" is great...I love it. Good for you for being active, I hired a trainer for 2 days a week a year and a half ago and asked the neighbor if I could walk her dog, which I do twice a day 6 days a week. I found I did not like to walk alone, but love walking the dog. Any way long story short..Wow did it show in all of my blood work this last physical....Amazing what exercise will do...Keep it up!
Thank you so much for your sweet comments and well wishes on the Polka Dot Flea!

I adore the bookbag.
Love the P! Love that hubby whipped that up for you!!! We are colder here in So. Cal. Only in the low 50's right now.
Good girl for watching your food and exercise. I NEED to be more diligent too!

You know that "P" would work for me too. I love it on your book bag.. great idea! I am trying to eat better. I just cannot seem to get into any of it..exercise or eating right...:( I will eventually set my mind to it..My intentions are better than my actions.. Keep going to school..keep exercising and eating right...Thumbs up to you girl! Blessings!
What a cool keychain. Great idea! We had some mild weather today too. Love it!
That's a very neat keychain, and I love the bag too.
Love the key chain! I'm working on the food/exercise thing too. Go team :)
A new grand daughter on the way.... so fun!
I love the keychain, Honey did a great job.
good luck with all you have going on. I've done fairly well for the last 6 months, losing 18 pounds, and hoping to match it going forward over the next 6 months. eat less, move more--that's what I've been doing. Life changes.

I'm late in finding this post, but I just wanted to tell you how much I love the key chain-- so clever! It's wonderful you were able to see something, get inspired, and go home and make it.
I'm also eager to try out the granola recipe! I always make a batch for my father when he comes to visit. He, too, is managing his diabetes with diet and exercise and enjoys his morning yogurt and granola.
